Attendance is free and all are welcome but please RVSP to
info@mgsmnetworker.net with your
name. For the
next MGSM Networker event we are taking a look at entrepreneurship in the
highly competitive beverage industry. Janet Hollyoak is Manager & Co-founder of Redoak Boutique Beer Cafe. Janet has a Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Business Management and Statistics and over 15 years experience in the Food and Fashion Retailing industry. As co-founder of Redoak with her brother, she has entered into not only the very male dominated industry of beer but also an industry which is predominately a duopoly market and a market that has been based almost solely on male customers for its entire history. Redoak has developed a world class selection of Traditional Beer styles and their own speciality styles. They have been the most awarded Brewery for 2 years running at the AIBA and have now survived 2 years in the fiercely competitive Sydney CBD Restaurant market. Success in this competitive market does not come easily. Janet will share with us the reasons behind choosing a market dominated by two major players and her strategies for beating them on their own turf. How will you apply her lessons in your business? Come along and find out. Access MQ (Macquarie University’s commercialisation arm) will also be along to introduce themselves and how you might be able to leverage their resources. |
