Intellectual Property (IP) and trademark management in China is a major issue for many organisations. Alex Lau will talk about the importance of IP management, the different elements of IP management and how to make a profit from IP as well as discuss some of the issues around trademark management in China.

Dr Alex Lau - Intellectual Property Manager, Federation of Hong Kong Industries Alex received Bachelor of Social Science from University of Macau; Bachelor of Law from Peking University of PRC; Bachelor of Law with (Hons) from City University of Hong Kong; Master of Law (Chinese and Comparative Law with Credit) from City University of Hong Kong and Ph.D. (International Law-Competition Law) at China University of Political Science and Law.
Alex worked as a Legal Executive in Legal Professional for over twenty years before joining the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.
He also is the IP Advisor to the following institutions: - HKSAR Trade and Industries Department-Business Advisory Service
