Valerie Khoo - co-founder and director of Taylor & KhooValerie is co-founder and director of Taylor & Khoo (www.taylorandkhoo.com) ? a fashion and homewares enterprise combining glamour and philanthropy. Taylor & Khoo uses business principles to alleviate poverty in the developing world by putting all profits from the sale of its merchandise into food, medicine and other basic necessities for a Cambodian orphanage.
Taylor & Khoo also supports income generation for disadvantaged groups in Cambodia. Its clothing and homewares are made by individual seamstresses and workshops that employ disadvantaged groups. The ultimate aim of Taylor & Khoo is to be a self-sustaining, profit-making venture that will continue to generate funds for orphans in poverty in the years to come.
